The MRVIEW® Total Document Imaging Solution, combines integral components – advanced software and high-performance hardware along with credentialed managers and proficient staffing – to effectively and efficiently meet your healthcare facility’s complex document needs.
CRS developed its MRVIEW software with input from credentialed staff and clients to ensure its robust features speak specifically to the needs of HIM while still being user-friendly. This high-production software is designed to accommodate the large volumes of scanning synonymous with medical records. When MRVIEW is coupled with our impressive team of software engineers and credentialed managers, workflow processes are optimized enabling CRS to provide its services at very competitive prices.
Our unique software was developed from years of experience performing on-site projects and converting billions of paper documents to alternative formats. Documents will be scanned at minimum of 200 dpi and saved as a standard TIFF file utilizing the MRVIEW imaging components. Some forms may be scanned at significantly higher resolutions (300 dpi – 400 dpi) to capture quality images or color. Customized presets are also created after identifying a healthcare facility’s specific forms that need higher or lower resolution scanning. Other special enhancements to improve the image quality by:
- Auto straightening documents (Deskewing)
- Removing speckles (noise) from a scanned document but identifying the decimal points or periods (Despeckling)
- Altering clarity
- Dynamic thresholding (increasing the contrast between items on a scanned page therefore making text and other objects stand out)
- Smoothing (treats scanned text to make it easier to read)
Eliminating blank pages (by determining the amount of bytes that are on a page, if below the determined threshold, the page is removed)

This registration component helps hospitals capture images of vital information in color such as an insurance card, driver’s license, physician order, consent form, or any other facility-specific document. This information can then be made available to any designated user on the healthcare facilities network.
